There are at least 3 personalities with both traits needed to activate and not pay the gold cost, all with 4-5 Chi, plus the Inquisitor part makes out-of-clan'ers think twice before using it. It can be played late in a Battle phase to even the odds and works great with Mountains Of The Phoenix and/or Shameful Injury.

At the risk of making a fool of myself, could somebody explain to me what those quotes are parodies of? I get the 'God of Hellfire' reference from this card, but I'm missing the others... Oh, and unfortunately you're mistaken about playing this card in the late battle phase - it's only an Open. That said, the combo potential between this and Serizawa is pretty sweet, being the force-lowering 4 Chi Magistrate Inquisitor that he is...

That'll teach me to look at it once and hurriedly post an opinion. Disregard my post. And I think the ongoing joke is just that Phoenix are all firey by motif, so the quotes reflect on some kind of obsession with fire. In the case of Servitors of Stone, the quote is pretty much an explanation for unbowing within the setting...or at least I think so - bowing means the Personality performs some kind of laborious task and the Servitors do it for them, so they unbow. ...the other explanation might be that a lot of Phoenix players are 4chan'ers ("Kill it with fire") or just enjoy Trogdor.

This card will be pretty good for my Magistrate military Deck when i get it off the ground. Reducing Akuma to 0 or my serizawa to 7-9 will really help with speed issues and defensive holes.

@Isawa Rikyia : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NOErZuzZpS8&feature=related (first 4 seconds for the quote)
@Shiba Arashi: Akuma to 0 ? It' just an open action, not Battle, so you're out of luck with that.
@Card after seeing more PotD - previews: Too bad we have seen plenty of anti-forcereduction in this set (besides the omnipresent Shameful Injury) - as if Yari in IG2 wasn't enought =(

alright so this, direct approach, wrath of thunder and serizawa will punch military decks in the nads before they even get the chance to attack, add some outer walls, castles of water and certian death (to eat followers) and even with our tiny province strength its going to be hell for our opponents to threaten a province

Yea, I realized what I said when I reread my post. But you get the point. It reduces the force of the big guys.

Actually, you can't touch Akuma no Oni at all with this card.
"During the Action phase Akuma does not bow and can't be targeted."
