The best part of this card is the Courtier. Adding a second Non-Unique in-clan courtier opens up the possibilities to really focus on a Magistrate/Courtier control deck out of Shrine of the Champions.

Between her and Kanta, we finally have enough to run a few courtier actions like Imperial Marriage. Oh, and she's amazing.

She makes me wonder how she will interact with Ambush. Is a battlefield that is not at a province in your home? Idk if she can use her ability during an Ambush when she is the target is what I'm getting at.

Still, she is awesome, and I appreciate that she has 3 PH instead of 2.

And would I be asking too much to see some Courtier Shugenjas?

If she is the target of the Ambush you cannot use her ability because you do not control a Shugenja at the current Battlefield to target.

Hmm, she may be able to be used with that new courtier card that gives personalities up to your courtier's chi cavalry. I mean if you're running her and Kanta it might be worth using, but setting aside 6 personalities for one strategy might not be as good as I think. Of course a cavalry Nobuyuki is incredibly attractive.

If she gets ambushed, she may not use her ability for two reasons. The first is that she is not in your home, she is in a battlefield; they are different locations. And she does not have a Shugenja on your side of the battlefield to target as a cost of her action.

Hmm, but both of these personalities are useful on their own, so it's not setting aside 6 personalities for one strategy. It's taking away 3 strategy cards (assuming the card your referring to isn't unique) from the rest of the flock.

Anywho, she's cheap as, good honour, and a great defensive ability. Got a way to give her duelist? That'd be awesome. If she was shugenja instead of Courtier, i'd be thinking WOW. As a courtier, she helps to open us up to different card pools.

I can totally see running her in a Shugenja Cavalry deck. After your opponent has assigned someone to each province, attack one with your cavalry, play Sneak Attack, and use her to remove your opponent's presence. After all, she says she sends an enemy personality home, not an attacking personality.

Why, oh Why must there be so many new cards that I want to use? Now, who to take out for this personality? I might actually take out Kanta from my honor runner for her. His ability is awesome, but not absolutely necessary to make the deck work as I don't run too many attachments and I don't use CoT. So, she will take his place as my courtier. It does amuse me that I feel that Phoenix are getting better courtiers than Crane, IMO anyway.

Well yeah I wouldn't run her and kanta just for that. If they give us one more non unique courtier, and give crane/scorpion a few more courtier military strategies, I could see Phoenix courtiers being a good support for military.
