It is a bit a pity that this is again a personality that needs to bow to use his action. The cost is high for us when lion, mantis, crab personalities and so on have also solid battle on the personality without cost...
Maybe we can do something fun with Yukihito, Ikuko and Morihiko and then unbow everybody with "fight as one".
I am disappointed because I guess it was the slot for the non-unique yojimbo I was waiting for but he will probably not enter my deck (but I will give him a try to be sure).

As I have mentioned previously, I have been playing a Yojimbo/Shuggie deck with good success for some time now, and Ikuko is going to be amazing in there. 4/3 for 7 Duelist • Yojimbo (having both of those is very key) and can bow a unit? Ikuko is amazingly solid. Enjoy!

Initially I wasn't impressed with this personality at a local Pre-Release yesterday, but the number of times this ability was fantastic is incredible. Bowing one personality to bow a unit is absolutely a fair trade. The synergy with Raiden makes this guy incredible.
As Bryan stated Yojimbo / Duelist for 7 gold is and will be very powerful. I wholeheartedly agree that Ikuko is amazingly solid and perfectly balanced.

Well bowing the ring is less harmful if you managed to put Sister of the Sun out. So go ahead and draw a card with Void and then straighten it to use Ikuko's ability. Not like you can use the Ring of the Void in battle anyway, and not like you can use an ability on a card a second time in the same round. So yeah Ikuko seems to be going into the same deck types that Sister of the Sun was going to go in anyway (enlightenment and dueling). Jeesh, how many days do we have to wait for this set's release now, two!?!?!?!? Lets get this set out and start building already!!!! lol

That was bloody stupid of me, I had kind of conflated the two conditions and the two parts of the effect into one godawful mess. There are some damned stupid wordings around in this arc, let me tell you. Why does the Flawless Assassin follower's ability have a double negative in there? Whose crazy idea was it that double negatives are clearer than single affirmatives?</gripe-whine-bitch>

the one thing im not to sure about with her, is that she needs a weapon to be 'really good' or if i could somehow get a monkey magistrats on her, hehehe... and get that thing to proc. but all in all, its a little expensive (after attachments) to use. thats my main gripe about her. but for a dueling deck... i would use her.

I am also pleased to see this card. While she is not exactly what I had in mind for a new duelist/yojimbo, she seems very playable. She should reliably have decent stats, and I think her battle action is useful as well. It seems odd not to consider her over Fusaburu in a deck, since she should have comparable stats and a battle action.
I have been thinking about possibilities for enlightenment decks in the new stronghold as well, and she seems an excellent fit there. It would have been nice to see one more PH for honor decks, but I think she could fit in one anyway. Also should be four force for 7g/5g at cheap in military, although this is the place where I can really see Fusaburu instead since you know he will be 4 force, and a battle action that causes you to bow is not so good on the attack.
Attaching a Tempered No-Dachi to her is still a possibility, especially since she can still participate in duels even though she can't issue them. You can always use a Final Sacrifice or a Chugo Seido to redirect duels to her. I think a +1 chi weapon is enough most of the time though, since that lets you potentially bow a unit of three cards.
I don't know if she will see play in decks for the entire arc, but for now I think she is what we need.

I do not know yours but in order to threaten a province turn 3, I need 8-9 force points with generally 2 people out. If I have an attachment in hand, it is quite easy, but if not, I need high force people. This guy at the first turns that are generally very important is quite weak. But I agree that if the 3 first turns are done it's a lot more solid. Anyway, I am looking forward to the release of the cards to try TH and I will give her a try because her art deserve it
