I thought there was still at least one Phoenix to see.

This looks like a great fit for my magistrate deck. This looks like a personality who might replace Serizawa to me. That one extra chi makes a big difference, and this will help hold back those swarm decks much better. Two less force shouldn't be a significant problem.

Of course it remains to be seen how hard it will be to get playsets of uncommon cards.

I dislike Mokichi's art but love -everything- else about the card.
it may be "too much" anti military, but id consider running 2 of her and 2 serizawa in honor... who knows.

Have to agree, the art isn't very good... It looks like it was a close up of a much bigger picture and so sloppy aspects of the detail are more visible.

Back on the topic of the personality herself, something that has not been noted upon is her Earth keyword. So, if I understand things correctly now (thanks to the guys on the Emori XP thread), her ability's synergy with our Elemental Master of Earth is very, very strong.

Hand out up to 6f penalty as an Open action, even if you don't target a shugenja with the action, without bowing. With multiples in play, this gets even sicker.

Hrm, now I'm back to thinking about my "Kneel before Zod" Earth shugenja military deck again... bow actions coupled with force penalties may have just lifted it a notch to be worth posting one day.

Om(flaming)g!!! ,another magistrate/inquisitor thats actually good.
Im lovin every thing, espicially the 5 chi, for my control deck. Awsome built in defense action and "touch of death" potential... but first she goin in my honor-runner, with the other -4f guy and the 4ph chick that exposes loserz....backing them with the "we are the Phoenix, and we bring u fire" action....mmmmmm!

I tried it in combination with Serizawa and together they are incredibly good to slow down the game giving enough time for an installation of something (but what ?).
